"I don't wanna stand beside you. I don't wanna try and feel the pain you're going through. 'Til the death you'll see this through.
Cold sweats, hallucinations. I wanna scream to show the hell I'm going through. The addiction's taken you.
Can you see me through bloodshot eyes? (bloodshot eyes) Should I fight for what is right, or let it die? Now I'm choking on force fed lies. Do I fight, or let it die?
Can you see me through bloodshot eyes? (bloodshot eyes) Should I fight for what is right, or let it die? Now I'm choking on force fed lies. Do I fight, or let it die?
I will fight one more fight, don't break down in front of me. I will fight one more fight, I am not the enemy. I will try one last time, are you listening to me? I will fight the last fight. I am not your enemy.
Everyone is sick of caring. No silver lining on the cloud that covers you. Let it pour and soak you through. No hope, just desperation. So sit and wait for death, and pray it takes you soon. The addiction's taken you.

~Bullet For My Valentine.
This song really slows it down for the band. It's not their usual style, as it's much slower and is mostly piano and string instruments. They are known for fast and heavy beats, with alot of guitar and drums. This song is a lovely change of pace.
From what I gather of this song, he is having a hard time with his girlfriend/someone he cares about. They appear to be on drugs, and he's trying to get them to quit. He's tired of fighting with them, it seems, but he's willing to try one last time. It seems to me that he knows what they're going through, as if he's done the same thing before. But it's as if he has a choice to make, save them or let it die? A heartfelt song and a very interesting piano version. I put the original beneath the piano version, so you can judge for yourself if this was a good switch or not. The original is hardcore and fast paced, and possibly conveys more anger at what's happening.
I like the piano version, but that's my opinion. I believe it has more depth, more meaning to the song. Plus you understand it better. This song is great for someone who jumps from Genre to Genre and doesn't stick to just one. It's also great for romantics and/or anyone who cares enough to fight for something they believe in. Although very different from the original, the piano version is deeper somehow, and it explains more about what's happening. I feel it has more feeling and therefor, more feeling to it. The original just doesn't convey the feeling as well, and comes off as more angry.
Well, I hope you liked listening.
