What is Left

Demon Hunter

"I Saw You From My Window
I Let You Crawl Inside
Your Face Became My Shadow
Your Voice Became My Guide

Oh, What Is Left
I Take What I Can Get
And Black Out All the Rest
What Is Left
Some Words That I Forget
And More I Regret…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…

I’m Trying to Evade You
I’m Trying to be Kind
One Solemn Night I’ll Take You
Down the Barrel of My Gun

Oh, What Is Left
I Take What I Can Get
And Black Out All the Rest
What Is Left
Some Words That I Forget
And More I Regret…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road"

Demon Hunter is generally a Screamo band, but they have a few songs that appeal to people who don't listen to Screamo. This is one of them. It's completely devoid of screaming, but it's still one of their great songs. It's an interesting song with no real clear meaning, but what I divine from it is that it's still full of emotions, with pain and anger up front and center. It's hard to tell you what this song means, but I guess it will have a different meaning for everyone. It tells me he wanted some solitude, but someone was trying to follow him and he would like to kill/ killed them. I don't know, tell me your meaning to it. I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

Hope you enjoyed listening.

America

Duece

"They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your veins,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

You can't tell me what to say,
Because I've got one religion,
And I've got one decision,
It's a big fuck you!

I keep spitting in your face,
Every month and every day,
Every time you hear my name,
My middle fingers up too.

You think I own you,
But I ain't go no room for these hoes,
Cause they ain't no good,
I ain't living by your rules.

You're getting older,
Full of liquor you're blowing,
And you wanna be noticed,
But you're dying so slowly.

So when they point the finger,
You flip one back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

So when they point the finger,
We'll flip ours back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your veins,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

Eenie meenie minie moe,
Each one of us gonna know,
That your time is coming soon,
Cause there ain't enough room,
In this world for us two.

Yeah, I hate to break the news,
But I'ma break it in this music,
To let the world know who,
Who you've been using,
Who you're abusing,
It's the suits you've being fooling.

But you know that you're useless,
So he's been acting so ruthless,
Deep inside you're just ruined,
Cause I keep on moving here,
To show you the truth bitch!

So when they point the finger,
You flip one back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

So when they point the finger,
We'll flip ours back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your veins,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

WHY CAN'T YOU DIE? [x2]
MOTHERFUCKER JUST DIE [x2]
NO MORE GOODBYES [x2]
JUST FUCKING DIE! [x2]

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your vein,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your vein,
A sickness with no name.

So when they point the finger,
You flip one back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames.

So when they point the finger,
We'll flip ours back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!"

This song is really hardcore, as far as most of us are concerned. Most would probably find it offensive, but I like it. It conveys a sort of anger toward our society that says "I'm not going with the flow anymore. I want to be my own person. Fuck you people." With a minimal amount of screaming but plenty of hard rock, any metal fan would most likely appreciate this song. It conveys such a strong sense of anger that most of us would appreciate, because we feel that way, too. I find this song to say what I cannot say for myself, and I think we need that rude awakening once in awhile.

It's explaining that society today, especially in America, is so fucked up that we barely function anymore. I don't know how many of you will agree with me on this, but that's how I see it. Please keep any political comments to yourself, no one really cares. I think people these days are just fucked up period, and this song conveys that feeling.

Hope you enjoyed listening.

Johnny and June

Heidi  Newfield

"Oh there's something 'bout a man in black,
Makes me want to buy a Cadillac,
Throw the top back,
And roll down to Jackson town,
I wanna be there on the stage with you,
You and I could be the next rage to,
Hear the crowd roar,
Make 'em one more,
I'll kick the footlights out,

I wanna love like Johnny & June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny & June,

I wanna hold you baby right or wrong,
Build a world around a country song,
Pray a sweet prayer,
Follow you there,
Down in history,

I wanna love like Johnny & June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny & June,

Like Johnny & June,
More than life itself,
No-one else,
This here is promise,
They don't make love like that anymore,
Is that too much to be askin' for,

I wanna love like Johnny & June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny & June,

Like Johnny & June,
And when we're gone,
There'll be no tears to cry,
Only memories of our lives,
They'll remember, remember,
A love like that."

I love this song. A classic country song quoting the lines of Johnny Cash, referring to his love with June. It was a timeless romance that will never be forgotten, and what girl doesn't want a love like that? It's an awesome love song for country lovers and even people who enjoy other types of music, too. You need to be a classic country fan to understand it completely though.

This song makes me think of my current boyfriend, Mike. I want a love like that, and I feel like that's really what we have. I love that about us. "When you're gone, I wanna go, too." So true. Anybody in love or that's searching for love can really appreciate this song, no matter what genre you listen to.

Hope you enjoyed listening.
