Remind Me...

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood

[Brad:]
We didn't care if people stared
We'd make out in a crowd somewhere
Somebody'd tell us to get a room
It's hard to believe that was me and you
Now we keep saying that we're okay
But I don't want to settle for good not great
I miss the way that it felt back then I wanna feel that way again

[Brad:] Been so long that you'd forget the way I used to kiss your neck
[Carrie:] Remind me, remind me
[Brad:] So on fire so in love. Way back when we couldn't get enough
[Carrie:] Remind me, remind me

[Carrie:]
Remember the airport dropping me off
We were kissing goodbye and we couldn't stop
[Brad:] I felt bad cause you missed your flight
[Carrie and Brad:] But that meant we had one more night

[Carrie:]
Do you remember how it used to be
We'd turn out the lights and we didn't just sleep
[Brad:] Remind me, baby, remind me
[Carrie:]
Oh, so on fire so in love
That look in your eyes that I miss so much
[Brad:] Remind me, baby, remind me

[Brad:] I wanna feel that way
[Carrie:] Yeah, I wanna hold you close
[Brad and Carrie]
Oh, if you still love me
Don't just assume I know

[Carrie:] Baby, remind me, remind me

[Carrie:] Do you remember the way it felt?
[Brad:] You mean back when we couldn't control ourselves
[Carrie:] Remind me
[Brad:] Yeah, remind me
[Carrie:]
All those things that you used to do
That made me fall in love with you
Remind me, oh, baby, remind me

[Brad:]
Yeah, you'd wake up in my old t-shirt
All those mornings I was late for work
Remind me

[Brad and Carrie] Oh, baby, remind me

[Carrie:] Oh, baby, remind me, baby, remind me
[Brad:] Yeah, you'd wake up in my old t-shirt
[Carrie:] Remind me, yeah, oh
[Brad:] Baby, remind me

This song is a classic country love song. It's about rekindling the flame they had when they first started dating and reminding each other just how much they love them. Great for anyone who feels this way about their relationship or just loves country love songs.

My boyfriend and I recently got back together, and then decided to be really close friends. But sometimes I wish he would remind me that he still loves me as much as he used to. And that he still wants me. I just feel that he's looking for a way out. I love him so much that I don't want to lose him. Baby, remind me.

Hope you enjoyed listening.

Whatever It Takes

A strangled smile fell from your face
It kills me that I hurt you this way
The worst part is that I didn't even know
Now there's a million reasons for you to go
But if you can find a reason to stay

I'll do whatever it takes
To turn this around
I know what's at stake
I know that I've let you down
And if you give me a chance
Believe that I can change
I'll keep us together
Whatever it takes

She said If we're gonna make this work
You gotta let me inside even though it hurts
Don't hide the broken parts that I need to see
She said like it or not it's the way it's gotta be
You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me

I'll do whatever it takes
To turn this around
I know what's at stake
I know that I've let you down
And if you give me a chance
And give me a break
I'll keep us together,
I know you deserve much better

But remember the time I told you the way that I felt
That I'd be lost without you and never find myself
Let's hold onto each other above everything else
Start over, start over

I'll do whatever it takes
To turn this around
I know what's at stake
I know that I've let you down
And if you give me a chance
Believe that I can change
I'll keep us together
Whatever it takes

This song is very near and dear to my heart lately, because I'm going through a situation it strongly applies to. It tells of a relationship that's seen hurt and someone was wronged. And he's saying that he realizes he hurt her, even though he didn't know it at the time. But he's trying to correct his mistake, he's willing to change for her. Because he loves her. And love can conquer all if you let it. And he's saying that he'll do whatever it takes to fix her broken heart and bring them together again. And that's exactly how I feel right now.

This song is a bit of an alternative feel with a sad love song motif. It's a good song for anyone who wants to make things right in their relationship, and who loves the other person enough to change for them.

My boyfriend recently left me. And he told me he still loves me, and that he needed to have some space because he can't interact with me normally because of it. He can't be with me because of things going on in his life, and I understand that. And I said some things I didn't mean, and I ended up driving him farther away. Now I would do anything to fix it. I would do anything to get him back because I still love him. And this song fits the situation perfectly, because I hurt him without knowing it, and I would do whatever it takes to fix it. But he won't speak to me now, and even though he left on semi good terms, I'm scared he won't love me when he comes back. And that's something that scares me to death. I love him so much, and I don't want to lose him forever. I'm sorry....

Hope you enjoyed listening.

Anchor

"You said open your eyes and
I said I don't like surprises
You said surprise, you're up to your knees in the water
And don't have a life-vest

I know, I know, I know, but don't worry
'Cause I've got it figured out

You said jump in the boat, man
I said, no, you reach your hand
You said, the storms that will come
Will be more than enough and alone you cannot win

You know, you know, you know without hope
You'll only sink not swim

And the current here is stronger now
Than I remember
And I'm cryin' for you to help
Please, save me

When I feel like I am drifting away
Sinking down, the sands are shifting today
I'm about to lose my way
You anchor, anchor me down

Looking out, the skies are turning to gray
All around, the tide is pulling away
Just about to lose my way
You anchor, anchor me down

You said, whatever happens
Don't get caught in the rapids
Hold on, I'm over the edge
And I'm reachin' for help 'cause I'm caught in the deep end

I know, I know, I know what you said
But I'm in over my head

You said, I'm not alone here
I said, throw me a rope and
I've had more than enough of the rain
And the cold and I wanna give up

And I know, I know, I know without hope
I'll only sink, not swim

And the current here is stronger now
Than I remembered
And I'm cryin' for you to help
Please, save me

When I feel like I am drifting away
Sinking down, the sands are shifting today
I'm about to lose my way
You anchor, anchor me down

Looking out, the skies are turning to gray
All around, the tide is pulling away
Just about to lose my way
You anchor, anchor me down

And the current here is stronger now
Than I remember
When I cry for you to help
You save me

And the current here is stronger now
Than I remember
And I'm cryin' out for you to help
And you save me

When I feel like I am drifting away
Sinking down, the sands are shifting today
I'm about to lose my way
You anchor, anchor me down

Looking out, the skies are turning to gray
All around, the tide is pulling away
Just about to lose my way
You anchor, anchor me down"

~Satellites and Sirens

I really like this song because it brings together a mix of electronic and rock, and it fits. It also has that alternative rock feel to it. It's a great mix of feelings as well. It conveys being lost and then found by someone you love or that is close to you. Just when you're about to fail, to fall, they swoop in and save you.

But the reason that I really like this song is that it reminds me of myself. It says, "Just about to lose my way, you anchor, anchor me down." and that sounds like me and my boyfriend, Tiger. Just when I'm about to lose myself, lose my way, he pulls me back, and he saves me. So I connect with this song on a deeper level than just music, I relate to it. I think that's what makes a really great song. When you relate to it. When you connect to it on a deeper level than just sounding good. And some people don't realize that.

Hope you enjoyed listening.

What is Left

Demon Hunter

"I Saw You From My Window
I Let You Crawl Inside
Your Face Became My Shadow
Your Voice Became My Guide

Oh, What Is Left
I Take What I Can Get
And Black Out All the Rest
What Is Left
Some Words That I Forget
And More I Regret…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…

I’m Trying to Evade You
I’m Trying to be Kind
One Solemn Night I’ll Take You
Down the Barrel of My Gun

Oh, What Is Left
I Take What I Can Get
And Black Out All the Rest
What Is Left
Some Words That I Forget
And More I Regret…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…

I Came Here Alone
I Thought You’d Gone
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road…
I Came Here Alone
The Long Way Home
I Left You In Bones at the End of the Road"

Demon Hunter is generally a Screamo band, but they have a few songs that appeal to people who don't listen to Screamo. This is one of them. It's completely devoid of screaming, but it's still one of their great songs. It's an interesting song with no real clear meaning, but what I divine from it is that it's still full of emotions, with pain and anger up front and center. It's hard to tell you what this song means, but I guess it will have a different meaning for everyone. It tells me he wanted some solitude, but someone was trying to follow him and he would like to kill/ killed them. I don't know, tell me your meaning to it. I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

Hope you enjoyed listening.

America

Duece

"They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your veins,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

You can't tell me what to say,
Because I've got one religion,
And I've got one decision,
It's a big fuck you!

I keep spitting in your face,
Every month and every day,
Every time you hear my name,
My middle fingers up too.

You think I own you,
But I ain't go no room for these hoes,
Cause they ain't no good,
I ain't living by your rules.

You're getting older,
Full of liquor you're blowing,
And you wanna be noticed,
But you're dying so slowly.

So when they point the finger,
You flip one back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

So when they point the finger,
We'll flip ours back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your veins,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

Eenie meenie minie moe,
Each one of us gonna know,
That your time is coming soon,
Cause there ain't enough room,
In this world for us two.

Yeah, I hate to break the news,
But I'ma break it in this music,
To let the world know who,
Who you've been using,
Who you're abusing,
It's the suits you've being fooling.

But you know that you're useless,
So he's been acting so ruthless,
Deep inside you're just ruined,
Cause I keep on moving here,
To show you the truth bitch!

So when they point the finger,
You flip one back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

So when they point the finger,
We'll flip ours back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your veins,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

WHY CAN'T YOU DIE? [x2]
MOTHERFUCKER JUST DIE [x2]
NO MORE GOODBYES [x2]
JUST FUCKING DIE! [x2]

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your vein,
A sickness with no name,
In a world that's insane,
Was America to blame?
When you're praying for a change to a God with no face!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a needle in your vein,
A sickness with no name.

So when they point the finger,
You flip one back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!

They wanna see blood,
They wanna see hate,
Like a fucking AK,
It's going up in flames.

So when they point the finger,
We'll flip ours back,
And say fuck that.
FUCK THAT!"

This song is really hardcore, as far as most of us are concerned. Most would probably find it offensive, but I like it. It conveys a sort of anger toward our society that says "I'm not going with the flow anymore. I want to be my own person. Fuck you people." With a minimal amount of screaming but plenty of hard rock, any metal fan would most likely appreciate this song. It conveys such a strong sense of anger that most of us would appreciate, because we feel that way, too. I find this song to say what I cannot say for myself, and I think we need that rude awakening once in awhile.

It's explaining that society today, especially in America, is so fucked up that we barely function anymore. I don't know how many of you will agree with me on this, but that's how I see it. Please keep any political comments to yourself, no one really cares. I think people these days are just fucked up period, and this song conveys that feeling.

Hope you enjoyed listening.

Johnny and June

Heidi  Newfield

"Oh there's something 'bout a man in black,
Makes me want to buy a Cadillac,
Throw the top back,
And roll down to Jackson town,
I wanna be there on the stage with you,
You and I could be the next rage to,
Hear the crowd roar,
Make 'em one more,
I'll kick the footlights out,

I wanna love like Johnny & June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny & June,

I wanna hold you baby right or wrong,
Build a world around a country song,
Pray a sweet prayer,
Follow you there,
Down in history,

I wanna love like Johnny & June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny & June,

Like Johnny & June,
More than life itself,
No-one else,
This here is promise,
They don't make love like that anymore,
Is that too much to be askin' for,

I wanna love like Johnny & June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny & June,

Like Johnny & June,
And when we're gone,
There'll be no tears to cry,
Only memories of our lives,
They'll remember, remember,
A love like that."

I love this song. A classic country song quoting the lines of Johnny Cash, referring to his love with June. It was a timeless romance that will never be forgotten, and what girl doesn't want a love like that? It's an awesome love song for country lovers and even people who enjoy other types of music, too. You need to be a classic country fan to understand it completely though.

This song makes me think of my current boyfriend, Mike. I want a love like that, and I feel like that's really what we have. I love that about us. "When you're gone, I wanna go, too." So true. Anybody in love or that's searching for love can really appreciate this song, no matter what genre you listen to.

Hope you enjoyed listening.

Say You'll Haunt Me

Stone Sour- Say You'll Haunt Me

Little supernovas in my head
Little soft pulses in my dead
Little souvenirs and secrets shared
Little off guard and unprepared
I was never good enough to find
I was never bad enough to mind
In the middle I will do my best
Take me in your arms and leave the rest

I will give you anything to

Say you want to stay, you want me to
Say you'll never die, you'll always haunt me
I want to know
I belong to you
Say you'll haunt me

Together, together we'll be together, together forever

Little variations on my page
Little doors open on my cage
Little time has come and gone so far
Little by little who you are

I can see the patterns on your face
I can see the miracles I trace
Symmetry in shadows I can't hide
I JUST WANT TO BE RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE

I will give you everything to

Say you want to stay you want me too
Say you'll never die, you'll always haunt me
I want to know I belong to you
Say you'll haunt me

Say you want to stay you want me too
Say you'll never die, you'll always haunt me
I want to know I belong to you
Say you'll haunt me

Together, together we'll be together, together forever
I BELONG TO YOU

Together, together we'll be together, together forever
I BELONG TO YOU

Little supernovas in my head
Little soft pulses in my dead
Little souvenirs and secrets shared
Little off guard and unprepared

I will give you anything to
I will give you everything to

Say you want to stay, you want me too
Say you'll never die you'll always haunt me
I want to know I belong to you
Say you'll haunt me

Say you want to stay you want me too
Say you'll never die you'll always haunt me
I want to know I belong to you
Say you'll haunt me

Together, together we'll be together, together forever
I BELONG TO YOU

Together, together we'll be together, together forever
I BELONG TO YOU
~Stone Sour

This is a very interesting song for anyone who likes hard rock/metal with a bit of alternative flare. It's a love story, saying he doesn't want her to go. In my opinion it's like she's leaving him, whether dying or something else, but he doesn't want her to go and he's going crazy without her.

I personally enjoy this song for it's complicated and complexing lyrics, and it's beat heavy melody. It's just an overall good song, but I'll let you be the judge of that.

This song makes me feel a mix of emotions, from confusion to sadness and anger. I like to listen to this song when I go running because the beat keeps me on a good pace. Also the emotion of the song itself fuels my run. It just works for me.

Alright, well I hope you liked listening.

It's Been Awhile

"And it's been awhile
Since I could hold my head up high
And it's been awhile
Since I first saw you
And it's been awhile
Since I could stand
On my own two feet again
And it's been awhile
Since I could call you
And everything I can remember
As fucked up as it all may seem
The consequences that I've rendered
I stretched myself beyond my means
And it's been awhile
Since I can say
That I wasn't addicted
And it's been awhile
Since I can say
I love myself as well
And it's been awhile
Since I've gone and fucked things up
Just like I always do
And it's been awhile
But all that shit seems to disappear
When I'm with you
And everything I can remember
As fucked up as it all may seem
The consequences that I've rendered
I've gone and fucked things up again, again
Why must I feel this way?
Just make this go away
Just one more peaceful day
And it's been awhile
Since I could look at myself straight
And it's been awhile
Since I said I'm sorry
And it's been awhile
Since I've seen the way
The candles light your face
And it's been awhile
But I can still remember
Just the way you taste
And everything I can remember
As fucked up as it all may seem to be
I know it's me
I cannot blame this on my father
He did the best he could for me
And it's been awhile
Since I could hold my head up high
And it's been awhile
Since I said I'm sorry"
~Staind

In honor of not having posted in forever, I decided to share with you this awesome song, titled It's Been Awhile by Staind. I had to put the swear words back into it. Even though he doesn't really say them in the video. Anyway, this song is great for people who like rock, but aren't really into hard rock. It's a sort of softer song full of regret and emotion. The message of the song is basically that this guy screwed up pretty badly, and he regrets whatever he did. He probably hates himself for it, and therefor he's saying "it's been awhile since I could look at myself straight." It's a great song, and you just have to listen to it to understand.

Hope you liked listening.
